segmentation fault when su to postgres
 

Hi

I am using RHEL3 update 4, i have a problem when su to postgres user cause segmentation fault.

# su postgres
free(): invalid pointer 0x98e05a8!
Segmentation fault

this make postgres database unable to start, i have to change the user usered to start postgres so that i can run postgres.

the server use ldap for authentication but system accounts like postgres are authencated using files.

can someone please help.
