Secure IRC Client?

Hi,

I am looking for a very *secure* IRC client. Any Recommendations?

I don't think there's any such thing. What's wrong with just updating your current client?

Zero-Day Exploits for one?

Would you give that same advise to a windows users? "What's wrong with just updating Windows?"

What is wrong with wanting something a little more secure...

But even Linux and the *BSDs have their exploits and vulnerabilities. Nothing is absolutely secure.

"Nothing is absolutely secure."

Understood.

But a client that is has a reputation for being secure, or one that was developed with security in mind would be nice to use.

(Kinda like recommending Mozilla over I.E.)

Any recommendations for a secure IRC client?...

I always use x-chat but Gaim also has IRC chat capabilities.
