SCSI Emulation Problems
Debian (2.4.22) | AsusA7V8X-X | Plextor 52/24/52a
I have had a cd-r installation problem for quite some time. I finally got it down to SCSI emulation problem. When I enable scsi emulation in my kernel and add append="hdc=ide-scsi" I lockup during boot when it says something about loading the scsi emulation. The errors are: ---------------------------> The scsi wants to send us more data than expected - discarding data ide-scsi: CoD ! = 0 in idescsi_pc_intr hdc: ATAPI Reset Complete hdc: Lost Interrupt ----------------------------> The message repeats until I have to shutdown manually. There is also more to the message but bootlogger never gets a chance to write to a file because I have to shutdown. HAS ANYONE EVER EVEN HEARD OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPENING? I AM GETTING DESPERATE HERE FOLKS. |
