scsi emulation

Hi, everybody..

Could somebody help me with SCSI emulation at a 2.4.21 kernel?
I'm using Slack 9, my /etc/lilo.conf has a append="hdc=ide-scsi" option in the start (generated by liloconfig), and my /etc/rc.d/rc.modules has de /sbin/modprobe ide-scsi line uncommented... ok... when I try cdrecord -scanbus as root, it gives me an error:

Cdrecord 2.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jörg Schilling
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'. Make sure you are root.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'.

Everything should be working fine.. shouldn't it? I want to burn my cds on Linux but I have to switch to Windows when I need to do it...

Thank You
