Question Scripting KDE to change window decorations

Hi all,

I've played around with dcop to change various KDE settings (wallpaper, panel, etc) through scripts. But I cannot figure out how to change the window decorations to a different set.

Is this possible, or does it have to be done through the Control Center? If anyone has any good links for scripting changes in KDE, could you please post them.

Cheers.

Browse the KDE source for how the KControl Centre apps do it maybe.

I'm trying to write a script as a quick way of completely changing themes, for ones that include window decorations, panel backgrounds, etc that need to be manually set.

An ugly way I've managed to do it is by writing a Perl script to change the " PluginLib=" value in ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrc and then use dcop to reconfigure kwin.

Likewise I can change things like the panel background image by modifying the kickerrc file and restarting it via dcop.

Any ideas if there is a better way to do this?
