Script that starts X

Gooday folks.

I run mandriva 2006.0 on my machine. I need to find out which script starts X so that I can add vncserver to it. My vncserver fails to startup if the machine reboots.

What else would it be called? 'startx' of course...

I don't think you are really supposed to be hacking this file though. Users can add stuff to .xinitrc and you may have other options depending on how you run your system... (xdm|kdm|gdm?)...

Ok, found the file to add my entry to.

vi /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0

#Added line below. Now vncserver comes up on reboot/startup
USER=root /etc/init.d/vncserver restart
