"Script is running slowly" messages in Firefox...
Rather than switching to Konqueror -- which I can't recall ever having generated a message like this -- I'd rather configure Firefox to deal with the problem.
Is there a configuration variable in Firefox that will allow me to drastically shorten the amount of time before Firefox spits out the dialog box to let me kill the slow script? Even better if there's one to let Firefox silently clobber the darned script. I've looked at the "about:config" page and don't see anything that looks like it'll do the trick but, frankly, all I've looked for so far is anything that has "java" as the beginning of the variable and any integer variable that have values in the 10-20 range which is about how long it seems to take for Firefox to get fed up with the slow script.
Aside: Has anyone else noticed that you cannot use Ctrl-F to search within the "about:config" page? Well, you can start a search but it will fail as soon as you enter the first character.
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Only time I have ever seen that message was when I had the Yahoo toolbar installed. Try searching the forums at Mozillazine.
I only know this messag from flash player, where it appears if a scipt needs more than 15 sec to finish execution.
So, if it is from flash player, I would suggest to update to the newest version, it seems slighty faster.
