Scribus and page orientation

Hi All,

When I open a New page in Scribus I get the format options. When I choose 'landscape' page orientation it shows up on the screen okay. However, when I print out the work it still prints in 'portrait' orientation.

Anyone any ideas?

Well, have you tried: File -> Print -> Printer Options and Set Orientation to "Landscape"?

Hello Tredegar,

Sorry not to have replied for nearly a month. I had to go away urgently.

I still can't get the landscape orientation I want. When I click on 'File' and 'print' I only get 'advanced options' as a choice. This gives me choices about 'mirror images', which I don't understand, and nothing about landscape orientation.

Can you help here, please?

I do not know which version of scribus you are using, mine is 1.2.1

File->Print Gives a new "Set up printer" window. There are three areas in this window: Print Destination, Range, and Options.

In the Print Destination area, the top line is the name of my selected printer. To the right of this is an [OPTIONS] button. Click this, select Orientation and choose "Landscape".

That's it.

Hi tredegar,

Ah, my version is just 1.0. It came with the distro and is obviously out of date. I'll try downloading the latest and go from there.

Many thanks for your help.

Best wishes,

Blotch
