screensavers... or the lack there of
 

a while back i posted here asking why my screensavers would flash on and off (run for a minute and then go off for a minute, like clockwork) it annoyed me, but i just came to deal with it.

this week however they have stopped coming on all together. u had this problem in (fc3?) as well. does anyone else have this issue, or had it before? i asked a few people i know that run linux and they dont know. admittedly i have a shitty graphics card, and that may account for why they wouldnt stay on, but my old computer (the former fc3 box) had the same issue and it had a fair one, not great, but it wasnt shite either.

anyway, as always any help is appriciated, and as usual i thank you all for your patience with me.

Just briefly mention your affected hardware? Ati cards suck with screensavers from what I've seen, but it might be something else.

affected hardware? no.. everything seems to be working, i watched a video last night. so i doubt it is the crap onboard video/graphics card that came w/ my system. especially since it used to work to the extent that it would come on and go off but at least it was coming on, eh? now it does nothing.

especially since this has happened in two boxes now, and i thiink in two seperate operating systems.
