screen wont stop scrolling (Fedora 11)


FIRST thing i need to do is figure out why every webpage i open immediatly scrolls to the bottom. i can drag it up but it goes right back down. VERY frustrating . then i can be much more productive. just intalled Fedora 11(x86 64). no other OS. acer aspire desktop x1200. let me know what other info you need. if im not to dizzy ill try to provide it

Check if the Page down or Space key is stuck.

You can also check with external USB keyboard.

keyboard seems fine. its purely random. sometimes its ok for a while then while reading an article it just goes and thats it. dont touch anything. once it starts cant stop it. im wondering if maybe its not understanding my wheel mouse ??

Does this happen in other apps as well? Check in any text editor.

i was using the GUI to ad some software and it does the same thing while trying to use the list of available programs. so its not just in firefox that it does it.

I think we can conclude it is a hardware problem. The only option is to change the KB and see.
Mice are less frequently to blame.

well i went out and upgraded to a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and so far so good. thanks for the help
