i used the command from commad Line and it worked fine...but wehen i treid to tie it for a shortcut it didn't work...i have seen this probem with some other commanda alos...when i used the following command Mod1 L:exec xlock
but something funny happened...i lost the 'l' key ....yeh lowercase l , thoough i was able to type L, i was no more able to write the lowercase l,,,then i removed that key binding and reloaded the fluxbox config file and now its working fine...
did i do something silly,,,???whatz the probleme and how to write the shortcut in ./fluxbox/keys file for screenlocking...thank u very much...
So if you press "Alt l" it will lock the screen. But, I usually put it in the fluxbox menu instead, whatever you want. See here for more on binding keys in fluxbox: http://fluxbox.sourceforge.net/docs/...eybindings.php

thank you....it worked....one more silly question....i thougt of putting a keybinding so that i can fire my fav editor, vi to directly open the flux keybindings,so that i dotn have to open xterm then again fire a command to open that keys file...i did something like this
Mod1 C :ExecCommand vi ~/.fluxbox/keys
but it didnt work, and i think the reason is pretty much simple, it was not able to open an xterm, right? so i think i have to do some config settings where i have to specify that when i fire say vi foo.txt from RUN(say Alt + F2) it will open an xterm and then open that fiel in that xterm. does this sound logically OK???if yes then how to do it...
thank for ur valuable time...
