scp problem

Im running gentoo 1.4, and i have a shell account that runs redhat 8 (i believe)
now, i have a .tar file. that i am trying to copy from my pc, to the shell. So i log into the shell and type
scp shunpo@myhomepc:/home/user/file.tar ./

and the error i recieve is this
command-line: line 0: Bad configuration option: ClearAllForwardings

the admin said it wasnt anything to do with their end, and i should check my ssh settings. so i opened up ssh_config, but saw nothing related to clearallfowardings.

just wondering if anyone has seen this before.

thanks

to verify, you've checked both potential config files, the one in your home directory ~/.ssh/ and the systems /etc/ssh/ ?

try making it verbose (ssh -v) to see what is occuring.

The key:

Code:
man ssh_config
Ssh reads it's config from:

1.- command line options
2.- ~/.ssh/config
3.- /etc/ssh/ssh_config

For each option, the first occurrence that is found is used. So, check that:

1.- you are not using strange stuff in command line, make sure you have no functions or aliases defined wich are superseding the ssh related commands.

2.- check ~/.ssh/config for "ClearAllForwardings".

3.- tell the admins the step you performed, and ask them for additional help and checks.
