Unhappy scim stops working after backspacing in pinyin mode

Someone have problems with the newest version of scim (1.4.5-1)? Hangeul behaves strangely, for instance 현 + ㅅ creates 혠 (notice the strange tonal change) instead of starting a new character with the following vocal. This was not an issue before upgrading. Input is ko-han2.

Whats worse is that while using chinese zh-py and if I have to backspace a mistake it goes out of input mode, but the menu is still there, and I cant get back to it. Result is no more input. Only remedy then is to restart scim. There were no problems wiht the previous version here either.

One thing is that its nagging to killall scim-launcher scim-helper-manager and scim-panel-gtk in order, but when I restart with scim -d I don't get the full menu.

Thanks in advance
