/sbin/init: error 80

Ok, just today, my Kubuntu machine gave me this error when I rebooted (ran adept and did a full upgrade except the kernel so I wanted to reboot):

run-init: /sbin/init: error 80
Kernel Panic - not syncing.

I've searched here, on Google, etc for information on /sbin/init error 80 but found nothing. What did I do?

Well, kernel not syncing means that you had some kind of error before the kernel was loaded so the kernel stoped from writing to your disc.

Does your statup use an initrd? Look at your Grub menu.lst file to see.
