samba password synchronization problem
 

Hi all,
My smb.conf file look:

***************************
passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u
Unix password sync = Yes
*****************************

As I have read it should change the linux password when the smb password (smbpasswd) is changed. Am I right?

But, when I change the samba password with #smbpasswd the linux password for that user is not changed. Why? What do I do wrong?

maybe it is the reverse effect, if you change the user password, the smb passwd will be changed too. Who knows ...
