Same Setup for All Users in Gnome

I am running Slackware 10 with Gnome as my GUI. I have two accounts, my root and my personal account. I was wondering how I can make my root settings the stay the same when I log into my personal account.

Thanks.

hi there

if u saying about the desktop ands other appliactions then their is " " .directory " or ".file" in every users folder where the customized settings are stored for say konqueror, xmms etc etc

so i think u need to update that from one user to another
that would be a hefty job alltogether

as of now i can onl thnk of these only

also in case of bash, there is .bash files in the home directory of all users which keep record of the history as well as the settings

regards

I didn't quite understand what you meant by all that. I do want the same Gnome settings and desktop customization (same launchers on desktop, same applications in the applications menu etc) to be the same for all the users. Would editing /etc/fstab be what I'm looking for? I am also looking for someway to give my personal account less restriction, so I don't have to log into root every time I have to create another directory and what not.

hi there

/etc/fstab is required to mount the different paritons/devices automatically during bootup

for the customized settings of the desktop and othere settings then u should copy the customized setings from the directories like(.kde) to other users directory

regards
