SambaLaunch?

Hello!

Do you have any other methods for automatically searching and mounting windows shares?

It's called SambaLaunch. Aparently it searches for Windows shares and automatically mounts them with the given username and password.

Check it out here: http://smblaunch.blogspot.com/

Thanks,
Murdock

Not sure whether the mods might see this advertising assuming it's your site, but built into KDE (and possibly Gnome) is a very good system for managing remote shares such as Samba shares, NFS shares, WebDV shares, etc. so I'm a little unsure what extra stuff you tool would provide.

I wasn't trying to advertise...if the mods take it off, that's ok. My main concern was if I should spend time with it or not, and since this is an open-source society, I figured asking the community what they think.

I apologize if I abused the system.

About the tool itself. The GUI systems are good, but as is explained on the site, you need (at least the ones I've seen) to manually set up everything and this can be a chore in large offices, etc.

Thank you again,
Murdock
