Question Samba with ADS as a home directory file server?

Can a users home directory be located on a Samba v3 server which authenticates against an ADS?

Would I have to use

template homedir = ....
idmap uid = 10000-20000
idmap gid = 10000-20000

or would it work using

[homes] share and pam?

Thanks

Dan
