samba wins issue old IP cached

Hi there.

I had setup a samba server PDC with WINS enabled. Now it was configured on one network, but implimented on another. I had changed the IP on the server to connect to the LAN it was to reside on. Now it seems as though WINS has cached the old IP and is trying to use that. So when I try to join a workstation ot the domain - well the PDC is not found. I know this, because hte moment i disable WINS - all is ok. However i need to use WINS for old client machines. So I tried deleting the wins.dat file and what I have read - it is supposed to recreate itself without the bad entries... well it did recreate itself - however the bad entries are still there. What is hte prioper way to clear the WINS cache so take hte current IP?

It is a centos 4.3 system with The latest version of Samba (that is shipped with centos).

Thanks in advance!
