samba share

HI all !

How could I check what folders do I share using samba utils ?
( not from /etc/samba/smb.conf )

Any suggestions are welcome.

yes use your favorite editor and muddle around with the smb.conf

plenty of howto both here at LQ and on the web about setting up your smb.conf file correctly to share what ever you want to share.

No , no .
I know how to run samba and/or how to share folders in a LAN , ...
But in windows, for example, I enter \\hostname, and explorer shows hostname's shared folders.
Also in konqueror if I type smb://hostname , the same , it shows me users shared folders.
But I don't have windows, no konqueror.
And would like to do same operation from command line.
( to type > something hostname , in order to get hostname's shared folders ; )
Is that possible ?
At least give me a hint , or command line utility name , I would try to dig further
Thanks in advance.
