Fedora 5 Samba as a primary domain controller
If I join the domain and use the root user that works. If I then log in as one of the users created on the server, say user1, this works but thereafter logging in as any other user gives me an error that the Windows client can't find the roaming profiles. I can always still login as user1 and there is no error.

I spent ages trying to find what the difference between user1 and user2 on the Samba server was however I tried on a second Windows client and joined the domain but logged in as user2. User2 can login fine and any other user gets a problem with the roaming profile.

This suggest the trouble is with configuartion the Windows XP client.

I found one web page that suggested that each user needed belong to more than one group on the Unix server. Don't think I believe that but its all I can find.

Any suggestion please.
