For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Hey all I am running Debian 3.0r2 ppc 2.2 kernel, and I was having issues logging into samba 2.2.3a from my XP home machine, since I installed sp1 on XP, I did some research and found that this issue is supposedly resolved with 2.2.7 and up, so since there isn't a .deb package I could find for newer versions of samba I found a mandrake rpm for ppc, I installed it with alien and then tried to run it. I got a few errors for missing libraries I found them, all of them rpms and I installed them with alien, this resolved my issues one by one till I came to an error loading libcom_err.so.3 I found the package that contains it I installed it and tried to run smbd again and recieved the same error. I then verified that the library was installed it is, but I keep getting that error, is there anyone who knows what I can do? on a side note, I even found the source code for 2.2.8a and I comiled and installed from source, but I after that I still recieve the error, please help me. Thanks a million.
