I'm 3 months noob and I know it's not an easy job, but I’ve spent the last 3 weeks determined to get Suse10 to act as a DC, allowing Linux and XP boxes to authenticate (did quite a bit of reading! -- )
Tried numerous methods and can't get any one of them to work properly. The closest I got was with these HowTo guides:
http://www.idealx.com/downloads/samba-ldap-howto.pdf and
Http://en.opensuse.org/Howto_setup_S...YNDNS_and_CLAM
Have I taken on to much? Anyone know of a HowTo specifically for Suse10?
On the 1st link I got to setting up /etc/pam.d/system-auth and I lost the plot. Suse doesn’t use this, which brings me to my next question. What is the best/easiest way? Pam, Nss, Nscd?
A HowTo or a quick explanation would be great, as I'm close to reverting back to MS 2003 Server. Someone please save me from having to go back to the dark side!
