Samba 3.0 and NFORCE

I've been working on a Samba server for the past two weeks in my office. I got samba 3.0 up and running but my office machines (XP pro/2k Pro) could not pass ANY files to the server. I thought it was something wrong with the way I set Samba up. I tried every config I could think of, then I took the machine home... and lo and behold! it worked the first time! which got me to think about how the PC's were set up in the office. The office machines are all set up on an Nforce intergrated everything mobo. I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue trying to connect to samba via these nforce machines? I did swap out the NIC's in the nforce boards but to no avail... any help would be great!

thanks!

Samba works great on the nForce2-based computers I have installed it on, no problem there. Make a copy of the working smb.conf and compare with the non-working one. Also make sure you use the same sort of authentication, etc. The log files are your friend.

OOPS!

I actually got it figured out.. it was a bad NIC on the samba machine.. my fault, I guess I should look at everything before spouting off. ;)
