running wine


I've installed wine and now when i get into the terminal and type sh wine it says segmentation fault. Any suggestions?

If wine is installed (and you can check this by going to a console and typing "wine notepad" w/o the quotes) you run programs by typing in "wine /path/to/the/file.exe" again minus the quotes.

when i type wine notepad i get the msg-- "segmentation fault"
Ive been getting this alot with other programs. What could be the problem?
