Why, for heaven sakes, would you like to do that?! You can emualte a Windows environement with Wine.

The link is wrong, it's http://www.winehq.com

However, don't use Wine if you don't need it. There are normally freely available native apps that will do what you want.

I have installed this software many times. But I failed at last.So it is difficult to install this software. What is your feeling of it?

acid_kewpie 06-05-2003 08:05 AM

it sucks... go native.

i think winex is good though.. even though it is not native :D

just to clear it up, Wine Is Not an Emulator

people keep calling it an emulator....even though the name itself means the above.

its so bloody complicated to get an app working in wine, that generally its not worth the time and effort, unless you *really* need it. for example, i do web stuff for work, so i have an install of IE6 on my pc. i just use it to see how the page will look/act in IE, i use mozilla as my web browser.

although, wineX is gorgeous. i have warcraft III running with it flawlessly. :)
