running mac-on-linux

Hi,

I have just installed mac-on-linux on my debian/ppc ibook G4. It took a bit of figuring out so in case anyone else wants to try here is how I did it.

On Debian squeeze I downloaded and compiled a new kernel, then downloaded the mac-on-linux source from svn:

svn co http://mac-on-linux.svn.sourceforge....on-linux/trunk mac-on-linux

I then compiled and installed this, I had to make a symlink in the kernel source in arch/powerpc to arch/ppc.

The problem I have now is that I am able to run the setup, molvconfig, startmol --keyconfig, but I am unable to boot an OSX partition. OSX resides on /dev/hda3 so I placed this in the molrc.osx config file and it wont run. It switches vt and briefly shows a penguin with an apple then it terminates. If I try to boot from cdrom it will wait at the penguin until the cd is inserted then it will do the same thing.

Can anyone help me get this running, I have searched for the "instruction pointer" error but have not managed to find anything to solve it. Here is the log from the run:

thanks
David Collins
