Runlevels for MySQL server

Hello,
I'm curious if it's possible (or recommended) to use the additional runlevels for configuring my computer for acting as a MySQL server. For the most part I use my computer for regular stuff and use Runlevels 3 and 5. Occasionally, I need to use it to serve some SQL data (mostly for testing purposes). Since I don't use the computer when it's serving (and vice versa, aren't serving anything when it's up for general purpose uses) I was thinking I could flip to runlevel 7 or something for serving.

Does anyone do this? Or is there an easier/better way for setting things up?

Thanks for any tips

Runlevel 4 is unused for this sort of thing (except in slack where it is used for the GUI). I have used it a few times for things like this.
