i am a new user to this forum.
i wanted to boot my x86 system with rt patch support.
could you tell me the right 2.6 kernel as well as RT patch which support 2.6 open source.
the patches here http://people.redhat.com/mingo/realtime-preempt/
naming convention for instance:
patch-2.6.20-rc7-rt3
rt3 is the patch version and it is for version 2.6.20-rc7 kernel
patches for the older kernels are in the "older" directory
you want to use the highest number patch available for your kernel

do you have ant test cases which can prove RT functionality on Desktop.
thats a little beyond my ability level.
so many different variables and contexts but NASA did a test suite on realtime and
opengroup.org as well i think.
