Unhappy rsync help needed please

Hello,

Could someone please assist me in setting up rsync on two linux systems so that they can communicate via rsync? ie: when host A is updated with a file then host B will rsync or replicate it.

By default, I have a rsync entry on /usr/sbin/rsync.

I try to use the command such as

# rsync -avz machinetype:/opt/tmp /tmp

Then I am getting a connection error.
**************************************************
*
rsync -avz host:/tmp/wu-ftpd-2.6.2 192.168.5.29:/tmp
connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
Trying krb4 rsh...
connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
trying normal rsh (/usr/bin/rsh)
**************************************************

What kind of tools or daemons would i need to setup so that my two linux boxes can see one another.

I would appreciate anyone's great feedback on this matter.
