RSYNC and include??

Is there a way for rsync to catch certain file extensions and ignore the others...say I have a file thisfile.txt and a file thisfile.txt.bak and all I want rsync to do is catch all *.txt.bak files and leave the *.txt files alone...is there a way to do that...the files would have varying names...not always the same but always with a .bak extension at the end...???
