rpm file for amanda
 
help!

I need a amanda rpm file for a raidzone filer
running:

redhat 7.1

hardware i686

rpm version is rpm-4.0.2-8

I can't seem to find the correct amanda binaries...

rpm says cannot install!!

Post the specific error messages. You probably have a dependency. Red Carpet and apt4rpm are good at resolving them, but your distro is a little old, so perhaps they aren't supported now.

I suggest upgrading to release 7.3 and when you upgrade, choose expert and select the developmental packages and kernel source if you want to compile stuff.

rpm error utput
 
# rpm -i ./amanda-server-2.4.4-1.i686.rpm

error: ./amanda-server-2.4.4-1.i686.rpm cannot be installed


could it be that the rpm file was made with an rpm version that
is above my rpm release?

Verbose output please. Try the flags -Uvh

rpm -Uvh /path/to/amanda-server-2.4.4-1.i686.rpm

tried the rpm -Uvh, but it yielded no more new info...

I posted another question on gcc, sorry i thought they were
unrelated...
