hello may someone help me to install rox-filer on fedora core2
i did not found yet how to install a rpm on fc2... before installing this os i had slackware 10 and there was a command installpkg who installed *.tgz files.... i'd like to have or a link where its described well how i can install rox or an explanation i have already tryied to do as this page sais but doesn't work.... hxxp://rox.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/index.php/FedoraCore i dont have the useradd comand can someone help me plzzzzzzzzzzzzz :'( thanks to all! |

RPM is horribly evil. Go back to slackware, try debian, or if you feel like it you can use Gentoo

to the furthest stretch of my imagination, i cant contemplate why anyone would use fedora/rpm distro (except a n00b)
Anyway to give some help piva.francesco, you need to find the package that has the useradd command. the problem is that package may need 5 other packages installed to work and so on. This is a major problem with these kind of distro's As uman said, switch back to slackware or goto debian. fedora offers nothing special |
Or use Mandrake. urpmi does for RPM what Debian's apt does for DEB.
