Router Emulator

Hello All,

I want to get a router emulator for linux, am using Debian etch. I got GNS3 but am having a problem with installation. I get error as below

Mats:/home/ssu/Desktop/GNS3-0.5-src# ./gns3
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./gns3", line 35, in ?
raise RuntimeError, "Need Qt v4.3 or higher, but got v%s" % QtCore.QT_VERSION_STR
RuntimeError: Need Qt v4.3 or higher, but got v4.2.0
Mats:/home/ssu/Desktop/GNS3-0.5-src# nano gns3
Mats:/home/ssu/Desktop/GNS3-0.5-src#

Could someone tell me how i can change Qt version to 4.3.

If possible please also recommend the best router emulator for linux and not complicated to install.

Thanks in advance

Yusuf

router emulator

Dear Usaif,
not sure why you need the above, are you running etch on a virtual system? How is your internet configured? Etch usually configures the connection automatically on set up if you choose DHCP. To update Qt then go to the Package Manager and search for it but only works if the net connection works. Try ifconfig on the command line to get your ip address and mask. Take a note of these and set up 'manually' using DHCP, if it is a PC. Hope this is of help, Debian is not something I use regularly.

Fred.
