rosetta stone in wine mic problems


rosetta stone has had the mic function work before under wine but for some odd reason when i do the mic test it doesn't work i activated all of the drivers in wineconfig and still nothing what might be the problem here

i am using rosetta stone v3

A language learning software. It's very widely advertised, at least here in the US.

I agree with John VV here.
This is an M$ based proprietary program and if you have paid money for Rosetta Stone without actually having an operating system capable of installing and running it correctly then more fool you.

I may be wrong but it seems to me that your copy is "pirate" and advice here will be limited if this is the case

i was trying to run it again and when i first started it up it asked me if i wanted to update it

this might be where all of the trouble may be coming from but wine isn't easily connected to the internet so trying to get it to update is beginning to be a real hassle is there an easier way

rsoetta stone has worked in wine before (but on an older distro and version of wine but i don't remember what version of wine it was but it probably won't work on the distro i'm using
