do you have a Microsoft Windows install dvd ?
you will need that and a activation code from Microsoft pop in the install dvd and fallow the on screen instructions . |
If this is the Dead MS Windows XP cd
then you need to reformat the drive FIRST the XP cd can not read a non microsoft NTFS or Fat32 formatted partition for that use Gparted live cd and reformat the drive to NTFS http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ |

Edit: But what all this has to do with Linux forums? |
You want to remove Linux and install windows xp so your best bet is the microsoft support site below which is specifically written for that purpose:

Have you set the boot priority of your bios to try to boot off a CD first before trying the hard drive?

No need to send people to a Microsoft forum.
Gabry, when you start the system there should be a message on the screen like "Press F2 for Boot menu" or something similar. Press the specified key when the system is starting and choose your CD/DVD drive from the menu that pops up. |
Pretty much what jdkaye told you.
Figure out how to get your laptop into the startup settings, probably any of F1, DEL, or ESC while it is booting. Look for settings to change the boot media, boot device, boot priority - whatever the term they use you wish to change the device it looks at to boot off of and then set it to look at the CD/DVD drive so when you boot with the Windows install disk in there it will then boot off of it and allow you to install Windows. |
