ripping audio from dvds

this may be a dumb question but: is there a simple/reliable tool for ripping JUST the audio from dvds? i currently have no dvd ripping capabilities at all; i've casually looked at some of the stuff out there, and i'm hesitant simply because of the bazillion-and-one requirements/dependancies. i'm running fedora core. any and all suggestions would be most appreciated.

dvd::rip can do that. Do a google search to get to the homepage. Although i think you can get it from apt-get as well.
With my RH9 i had no problems of dependencies, cause almost all are in rpms, and you can just rip the audio.

thanks Hammet! the dvd::rip homepage is currently closed due to protest, but i'll keep an eye on it.
