right-click menu won't display;touchgraph link browser

I am trying to use Touchgraph link browser which is a java based client for organizing bookmarks.

I am using java 1.4.2_04 in windows 95a and java 1.4.2_03 in RedHat 9.

When running the java based client in redhat 9, i have only one problem with the program... if I right click on a bookmark to edit it, the menu that should appear, does not display. When doing this in Windows 95a it displays a menu to choose an option to edit the bookmark.

strangely, left clicking and dragging works to create a new bookmark(this works both in redhat 9 and in windows 95a).

I was told that unix and windows use different select, extend, and (menu) buttons.

I have tried a two button ps/2 mouse with emulation of the 3rd button... I also recently installed a 3 button logitech trackball in redhat 9 using the old c7 setting on com port 1 or /dev/ttyS0.

note: left clicking works perfectly in touchgraph link browser client, both in redhat 9 and win95a. It is left clicking which doesn't work.

I am assuming that right clicking is somehow different in microsoft windows than in linux. Maybe touchgraph is waiting for a right clicking command that maybe different on windows than in linux.
