RHEL server remote access is denied

Hello guys,

I have HP server with RHEL release 6.2 x86_64. They both are on same network. I am able to ping the server from my PC.

I am able to perform all tasks on server from my PC through PUTTY.

I am able to connect my PC from server using VNC and get a complete desktop environment.

I want to access that server from my windows 7 PC using Remote Desktop Connection or VNC. But it fails to connect. What may be the issue,

please help…

You have indicated that you are running sshd on ther server, but you have not indicated anywhere that you are running any sort of VNC daemon on the server. If you want a VNC daemon you'll need to install and/or configure it.

Sorry evo2, I am not that knowledgeable in that manner. But when I tries to run

# /etc/init.d/vncserver start

gives an error

Starting vncserver: no displays configured [failed]

Hi,
ok, so it seems to be installed but needs to be configured. You'll need to read some documentation. I quick web search revealed a number of prommissing results. For example http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/VNC-Server

If you get stuck somewhere trying to follow documentation, post back and we may be able to help.
