Rhel linux having issues with short cuts for Eclipse

Hello,
I am using eclipse Eclipse IDE for Java Developers Build id: 20090920-1017 on
rhel 5.0 (redhat linux) with java 1.6 version. I am having a problem with the short cuts.
CTRL+SHIFT+T works but CTRL+SHIFT+O or CTRL Space does not work.
Are the key sequences different on rhel in comparison to Windows XP?
Could someone let me know how the same can be resolved?

Regards,

I'd bet they are - you don't state whether you're using KDE or GNOME as your GUI; That probably affects the answer as well.

I think I am using gnome because I can see some gnome related (named) iconized windows in the bottom menu panel. How do I find out whether its gnome or kde as my GUI?
How do I resolve my issue? The short cuts are very important for making eclipse work effeciently
