RHEL and Openoffice

I upgraded to the latest version of Openoffice manually. When running updates RH stated it had a version with security fixes I required. I clicked ok to install and the older stock version was installed and my newer version removed. Is Redhat's OpenOffice version (2.0?)more secure or patched then OpenOffice's current version (2.2?)?

Going by version numbers only can be misleading (read very misleading when dealing with Red Hat). Please see;

So to answer your question, yes Red Hat's OpenOffice can be as secure or more secure then the OpenOffice.org's version regardless of version numbers referenced.

Anyway I thought the OOo had relesed version 2.3.1 anyhow;
