I have an Abit motherboard with Celeron 2GHz processor and 256Mb memory. I Have WindowsXp installed and had SuSe 9.0 installed as well. I have decided to install RH9 instead of SuSe. The installation goes fine and all is well, but then when I try and boot the PC it gives me a kernel panic error - something like "kernel panic trying to kill init" Does anybody have any idea what is causing this? I have again re-installed SuSe and all is ok. Seems that RH is not as good as it makes out to be??? I just completed a course on RH, but now very dissapointed in it's performance

You could try a newer Fedora core instead. Redhat 9.0 is old and unsupported now. <whisper> But... if I was you... I'd stick with SuSE instead, it's much better then RH, lol. </whisper>.
