Rh9 Halts During Use ?
System:
Sony Vaio P4 1.7ghz, 768 mb ram - new Maxtor 7200 40gig HD dual booting with grub to: default RH9 and XP Pro after approx 10-15 min sometimes less, RH9 locks up and completly halts my system (my scroll and num lock light blink) and nothing works, mouse freezes, music stops, everything, I thought it was the new .9 kernel RH released, so I reverted back to .8 (original) and still the problem persists. sometimes I can go for hours or days with nothing, but most of the time it freezes. Any thoughts, suggestions, comments ..... please.... |
if you don't get the same reaction in windows i would say it is a software related problem. what that problem would be in linux i am not experienced enough to say.
