RH 9 on vmware

I am trying to install RH9 on VMWare. Installation went thru but when I restarted linux, eth0 failing to initialize. "failed no link present check cable". Its a default install with bridged network card. Any post install steps that I am missing?

Other guest OS "win2k" works just fine on the same machine.

Found the answer. Just in case if someone stumbles.

Add following lines to all "ifcfg-eth0" files (I found the file in /etc/sysconfig/network folder).

check_link_down () {
return 1;
}
