RH 7.2 Kernel panic


I have installed RH7.2 but it will not boot. I got this errors.

<0> Kernel panic: Attemted to kill the idle task
or
<0>Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler
or
<1>Unable handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virutal adress 00000000 printing eip: c12ab007
or
INIT: version 2.78 booting
Bad swap file entry c17e2000
VM: killing process init
Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init.

What to do ?
I'm a newbie so pleas explain exact.

The system:
Motherboard QDI Kinetiz 7E-A
CPU. AMD Duron

Did you make a install specific boot disk? If so try and boot with that. Once up maybe you can find the problem. Do you have printer installed? Did it configure properly on install? Try going into CMOS and disable the IRQ for the printer and see if that makes a difference.

Kernel panic

I can't see an answer on the site you refered to. Sorry.


This is what I do.
I start up in coold boot. Linux jumps out from different places during the boot sequence and display different errors every time I boot.
All I have done is install RH 7.2.:smash:

Trying to point you to the subject matter of kernel version in conjunction with reported error. What version are you using? Does this reference apply?

I'm having the same problem after a RH 7.2 install. I'm using an Duron 750 and I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

When I use RH 6.2 the system boots fine.
If I find a solution, I'll post it. But don't count on a solution. I have tried ALMOST everything.
