Ok, at the moment I have three partitions:
ntfs, 5 gigs
fat32, 7 gigs,
ext3, 28 gigs
I'm running Mandrake 10 on the ext3 partition. I want to resize the partition so I can give SuSE 9.1 a try. What steps do I need to take / programs do I need to use to do so?
Wierd, http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/features.en.html shows otherwise.
But there's the catch, would I be able to resize a partition from the partition i'm currently on? I mean if i'm on the ext3 partition can I still resize it?

i think you could do it, but it's way much simpler and safer if you do this from a live cd... this one comes with qtparted, among other things:
I tried qtparted from knoppix and system rescue cd, but I got the error
"no partition table found", or something like that. On Knoppix I ran it as root. It then caused a SIGSEV error which removed all the KDE titlebars or some oddity like that.....
Any other solutions? Does qtparted not commit changes once the computer is restarted? I think thats what partition magic did when I used it a while back.
