Resize ext4 partition with LUKS encryption
Hey guys,
I have a partition that is encrypted with LUKS with an ext4 fs on it. It is about 66% free, and I would like to resize it. I know its possible to resize ext4 and I know it is possible to resize a LUKS container, but I also have to resize my partition, and I was wondering how to get this all to work together. Thanks for any help! |
Not that I've done it, but I would dismount ext4, then resize it, then close the LUKS container and resize it (making sure it is slightly bigger than the ext4 filesystem) then resize the partition with gparted or some such, making sure it is slightly larger than the LUKS container.
Backup first. Of course you could trust your backup and simply repartition and recreate the LUKS and ext4 and restore your files. |
