Reset Default Permission


I hope i am not the only one who did this before

Here is what i did
[root@localhost:\etc] :chmod -R 700 *

this is what i did and now i cannot login remotely anymore.
how can i reset the \etc folder file permission theres about 30files in there...

chmod 755 /etc

Then, for the files in there:
chmod 744 /etc/*
