How can you replace the kmenu icon? I've tried replacing it with the *.pngs in the icons directory for KDE, but that's not working. What else will work?

r u putting it in the correct icons directory of ur theme???? and also check that the icon ur pasting is in the correct directory like--> 16x16 , 32x32, 48x48

The icon set ur using depends on the size of the taskbar ..

if ur using a very small task bar ur probably usin 16x16 iconset... and likewise

I believe there is a place to change it in the KDE configuration program. Look in the 'Toolbar' section in the lower left corner of the dialog window.

What distro do you use? The locations for KDE are slightly different in each.

Anyway, this is how I got it to work,.

Replace the following icons (so every size of the kicker looks the same), and then restart kicker:

$KDE Directory$ /share/icons/default.kde/16x16/apps/kmenu.png
$KDE Directory$ /share/icons/default.kde/22x22/apps/kmenu.png
$KDE Directory$ /share/icons/default.kde/32x32/apps/kmenu.png
$KDE Directory$ /share/icons/default.kde/48x48/apps/kmenu.png
$KDE Directory$ /share/icons/default.kde/64x64/apps/kmenu.png
$KDE Directory$ /share/icons/default.kde/128x128/apps/kmenu.png


Don't forget to backup the originals!!
