About 3 or 4 months ago I was still running Gentoo and used spice3f4 to do circuit analysis and nutmeg for post analysis for a linear circuit analysis course. Fast forwarding to now, I have installed Arch Linux, haven't completely scrapped Gentoo yet (making sure I have everything first), but I need some way of handling circuit analysis.
I tried installing spice3f5, but it didn't seem to work at all. So I decided to give ngspice a try. On Gentoo, when I installed spice3f4, it installed Nutmeg as well. However, when I installed ngspice, there was no Nutmeg.
So I was wondering, what do people do for post processing? I'm using a simple netlist to try out ngspice:
Forced RC Circuit
VS 1 0 10
C 1 2 100u IC=0
R 2 0 10k
.TRAN 0.5 5 0 1u UIC
with spice, since I wanted to use Nutmeg to do my post processing, I didn't need to include a .PLOT, .PRINT or .FOUR card. Is this different in ngspice?
